Why does my ranking change across town?

Google ranks map results by relevance, prominence and distance from the person searching. Someone five miles away can see a completely different top three than someone next door.

How long does it take?

About ten seconds. Your heatmap shows on the page, and the full report with the competitors who own your map pack unlocks with your email.

How accurate is it?

Each point asks Google Maps for your keyword as if searching from that spot. Real results also shift with the searcher's history and device, so treat it as a strong guide rather than an exact count.
